Are you taking new clients?
Yes! We warmly welcome new clients and their pets. Whether you’re new to the area, recently adopted a pet, or simply seeking compassionate veterinary care, our team is happy to assist you. Call or text us to schedule your first appointment.
Are you an emergency clinic?
No, we are not an after-hours emergency clinic. However, Dandridge Animal Hospital does provide urgent care during our regular business hours whenever possible. For emergencies that occur outside our hours, we recommend contacting one of the trusted emergency facilities listed on our After-Hours Emergencies page.
Do you do surgery?
Yes. We offer a wide range of surgical services, including spay/neuter procedures, soft tissue surgery, lump removals, wound repairs, and select orthopedic procedures. Our team follows strict safety protocols, including modern monitoring and pain management, to ensure your pet receives safe, compassionate surgical care.
How do I schedule an appointment?
Appointments are scheduled by call or text only. Please call or text (865) 940-1133 to book your visit. Our team will help you choose the best appointment type and answer any questions.
What types of pets do you treat?
We provide care for dogs, cats, and a variety of exotic pets, including geckos, bearded dragons, turtles, snakes, and small birds. Each species receives care tailored to its unique needs, with extra attention to handling, environment, and medical requirements.
Do you offer pet vaccinations and wellness care?
Absolutely. Preventive care is a core part of our clinic. We provide pet wellness exams, vaccinations, parasite prevention, microchipping, nutritional counseling, and early detection screenings to keep your pet healthy at every age.
Can I refill my pet’s medications online?
Yes. Our online pet pharmacy makes it easy to request refills, order preventatives, and purchase prescription diets. All products come directly from trusted veterinary suppliers, ensuring safety and proper handling.
Do you offer dental cleanings for pets?
Yes. We provide complete veterinary dentistry, including dog dental cleaning, digital dental X-rays, periodontal care, and oral surgery when needed. Proper dental care helps prevent infection, pain, and long-term health issues.
What payment options do you accept?
We accept a variety of payment methods, including major credit/debit cards and CareCredit. If you have questions about payment or need guidance, our team is happy to help.
Should I bring my pet’s previous records to their appointment?
Yes, if available. Medical records help us understand your pet’s history, vaccination status, and any past conditions. If you do not have a copy, we can assist in requesting records from your previous veterinarian.
What should I do if my pet has an emergency after hours?
Please visit our After-Hours Emergencies page for recommended local emergency hospitals. We partner with reputable facilities such as Five Rivers Pet Emergency and Animal Emergency & Specialty Center (AESC) to ensure your pet gets prompt care when our hospital is closed.
Do you offer senior pet care?
Yes. Older pets have unique needs, and we provide geriatric pet care to support mobility, comfort, and early detection of age-related conditions. We tailor wellness plans to each senior pet to promote quality of life.
How often should my pet come in for a wellness exam?
Most pets benefit from annual wellness exams; however, puppies, kittens, seniors, and pets with chronic conditions may require more frequent visits. Regular checkups help us catch concerns early and keep your pet feeling their best.
