Dandridge Animal Hospital Policies and Guidelines

Appointment Policies

• We see patients by scheduled appointments only. We do have a limited number of sick pet appointments set aside for our clients on a day-to-day basis. We appreciate your understanding that we may not be able to accommodate everyone’s sick pet appointment request due to our limited same-day appointments/ previously scheduled appointments.

• Annual vaccinations and other routine care must wait for the first available appointment. It is in your best interest to schedule routine appointments as early in advance as possible so we can accommodate you by giving you the day and time you request. Please also plan for all required care by boarding facilities and new puppy required appointments, as we may not be able to accommodate them on short notice.

• Our hospital requires dogs to be on a leash and properly controlled while in the reception area. All cats must be in an appropriate cat carrier. It is for your pet’s safety as well as the other pets in the hospital. Please inform us in advance if you need alternative options. If you need help carrying an animal into the hospital, please ask a member of our team for assistance upon arrival.

Cancellation / No Show / Late Policies

• We understand that sometimes it is necessary to cancel or reschedule appointments. We would appreciate a 24-hour notice for our regular appointments and a 48-hour notice for surgery appointments.

• We make every effort to be on time for all our appointments. Unfortunately, when even one patient arrives late, it can throw off the entire schedule for that day. Therefore, a client who arrives 10 or more minutes late to their scheduled appointment may be asked to reschedule.

• Due to an increased amount of “No Shows” and the increased demand in veterinary care, we have an automatic notice that will go out through email and/or text message that notifies you of your 1st, 2nd, & 3rd failed appointments. After the 3rd “no-show,” a deposit of $65 (non-refundable) is required to schedule your further appointments. This deposit will be applied to the balance of that appointment.

Financial Policies

• All fees are due when services are rendered. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, CareCredit, check, and cash. We do NOT offer payment plans through our hospital. We do not accept held checks, and there is a $25 returned check fee.

• If you have financial constraints, please inform the staff of this fact BEFORE services are rendered.
